CLC-CDIA-LTA Urban Transport Policy Forum
"Sustainable Transportation Solutions for Liveable Cities"

The Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) hosted an urban transport policy forum – “Sustainable Transportation Solutions for Liveable Cities” on 6 May 2009 at the URA Centre. This event is organized in collaboration with Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA), IE Singapore and the LTA Academy.
The Forum focused on the discussion on how various urban transport solutions available globally provide learning points to rapidly urbanizing and densely populated cities in Asia.
There were four speakers for the forum – Mr. Enrique Penalosa (former Mayor of Bogotá), Mr. Mohinder Singh (Director, Research and Planning/Dean, LTA Academy, LTA), Ms Yan Zong (Transport Specialist, Asian Development Bank) and Dr Paul Barter (Assistant Professor, LKY School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore). They addressed issues of urban transport ranging from solutions to policies that covered a number of cities around the world.
