East Asia Summit Conference on Liveable Cities

The inaugural EAS-LCC was held in Singapore from 23 - 25 June 2008, in conjunction with the World Cities Summit and the Singapore International Water Week. The proposal to convene the EAS Conference was endorsed at the 3rd East Asia Summit in Singapore on 22 November 2007.
The EAS Conference aims to create a platform for EAS cities to discuss the interrelated issues of public governance, urbanisation, climate change, and the environment. The Conference was well-attended by delegates from 25 Cities representing all 16 EAS participating countries.
